Asheville Marketing Firm brings National/International Tourism Destination home to Asheville
NATCHEZ, MS, September 17, 2015 – The Natchez Convention & Visitors Bureau has contracted The Goss Agency, one of America’s premier cultural tourism branding firms, to direct a comprehensive branding and marketing campaign for the 300-year-old City.
Through its extensive, multi-faceted branding process, Asheville marketing firm The Goss Agency will create an evolving brand platform for Natchez to implement over the next several years. The branding will integrate all aspects of what Natchez represents into compelling visual and written communications. Natchez’s resulting brand campaign will position the city in its rightful place among the nation’s significant, historical, and cultural destinations.
“In my 20 plus years in marketing travel and tourism destinations, from Disney to islands all around the world, I am as excited as I have ever been with the rich cultural, musical, and historical experiences that Natchez (rhymes with matches, as I was so gracefully corrected while visiting) has to offer.” – Jeff Goss, C.E.O. of The Goss Agency.
“With the unanimous support from both our Tourism Advisory Council, as well as the Promotion Tourism Bureau, we are very excited to bring together two of the top firms in their respective industries,” said Kevin Kirby, C.E.O. of the Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We believe the expertise of The Goss Agency and Lou Hammond & Associates Public Relations will help position Natchez to take the next step in our growth as one of America’s premier destinations.”
Natchez, Mississippi, located 90 miles north of Baton Rouge, is quickly becoming a sought-after cultural tourism destination. Attracting over 660,000 visitors annually from around the world, Natchez is known for its culture and history, offering more antebellum houses than any other location in the United States. It is also the Bed and Breakfast Capital of the South, and “The Biscuit Capital of the World.” In 2016, the city will mark its 300th anniversary, making it the oldest continuous settlement on the Mississippi River. Natchez’s evolution over 300 years has provided an astounding array of ways to discover and enjoy southwest Mississippi.
