This article from Adweek, "7 Digital Marketing Stats That Caught Our Eye in the Last Week," rounds up some of the interesting digital marketing statistics that have come out in the past week. A few of the statistics are good to see as they echo TGA's current feelings about the market: the efficacy of Instagram advertising, the amazing ROI from mobile advertising, and the juggernaut that is Periscope.
One, however, I found quite surprising: 3% of college students do not own smartphones. While that may not seem like a lot, I know very few if any people that do not use smart phones above college-age, and I count on teens and people in their early twenties to be at the forefront of the technological revolution. I also found it quite surprising that Kim Kardashian managed to make her way into this article somehow, but I suppose I should expect her everywhere now. 🙂
